cyberlanguage

cyberlanguage or language of the Net, is the common language that people use on the internet nowadays. the concept of cyberlanguage is to borrow words from other familiar contexts to describe a new concept. netronym is also a common language in the internet. netronym is the combination of net and acronym. it was designed mainly for the sake of speedy online written communication. for example, people tend to use :) for a smile or :( for a sad face.

social networking can be defined as the grouping of individuals into specific groups such as a group of friends, club members etc. nowadays, online social networking has become popular especially among teenagers with the uprising trend of social networks websites like facebook and twitter. Social networks websites function as the online community where registered users are able to communicate, socialize and interact with each other.  people also can share their personal lives through pictures, songs and status updates. one of the benefits of social networking websites is that it helps people to connect with each other. having the social network websites, people can get reconnected with their old friends and also make new ones.

social networking websites are also easy to use and low in cost. actually, most of them are free! in business terms, social networking websites also provide low cost marketing.  on the other hand, social networking websites could be the medium or the spreading of viruses and malware.

online communication

e-learning or electronic learning refers to the method of learning through online materials. these training materials include visual images, video conferencing, audio conferencing and text conferencing. students can track their progress through online testing. through this method, students are able to control their own pace of learning and know more about how they learn through independent study. this will in turn gives students the opportunity of having their own learning styles.

surfing the net

the world of internet is a vast field of information ranging from videos, pictures, files and many more. often, people use a browser or a search engine to search fro information or surf a particular website. however, without a proper modem as a link to the web, people can never gain access to the internet. while others use portable modem, some also use their phone line as a cable for the net. other than that, people can also use a network interface card or NIC. it is a hardware device that connects the computer to a network. next is the internet service provider or ISP which is the company that provides internet access to the customer. ISP provides many features to the customers, for example, email. examples of ISP are TM Net, Jaring and Celcom.

Search engines are softwares that are widely used to help locate information for which you do not know the exact web address or when you are not searching for a particular website. it only require you to enter a word or phrase that describes the material that you desires. this list of phrases or keywords that you enters are listed and maintained by a program called spider. examples of search engines are google, yahoo and bing.
